Using Autodesk Fusion for Woodworking

Have you ever wanted to design your woodworking projects as a 3D design before cutting your expensive pieces of wood?  In this class, Using Autodesk Fusion for Woodworking, our guest instructor, Brad Tallis, will walk you through the whole design process from concept to manufacture using Autodesk Fusion.  Brad has over 35+ years of CAD experience, with the last 9 years working at Autodesk on the Fusion team.  Most recently, he has started his own Fusion training and consulting business, CadEd llc.

Brad will cover the following topics in this 9-hour course spread across 3 days (Saturdays, April 11th, 18th, and 25th from 9:00am-12:00pm Central):

  • Introduction to Fusion
  • User Interface
  • Creating fully constrained sketches
  • Using parameters and constraints to help with woodworking designs
  • Creating and modifying 3D models
  • Adding physical properties and materials
  • Assembling parts together to check for form/fit/function
  • Inserting components from other sources (McMaster Carr, Grabcad, etc)
  • Creating 2D Drawings of your design
  • Creating realistic renderings of your design
  • Plus more!

We will learn all these Fusion topics while designing and modeling a Bedside Table.  So, if you want to take your woodworking to the next level, sign up soon as space is limited for this class.

This class has space for 12 participants.

FEES:

  • Guild Members $180  
  • Non-members $225 (class fee of $180 and Guild membership $45)
