A Special Opportunity for Minnesota Woodworkers Guild Members

Join us on Saturday, May 25th for a slightly different MWG event scheduled. It will be informal, partly educational and partly social. Some of us who do not sharpen our tools often find honing chisels, plane blades and other types of blades is better done with a honing guide than freehand. For this event, we are asking people to bring their favorite honing guides, and we will informally share our experience with them. It looks like we have at least eight guides lined up so far. You might want to bring a tool to see how it fits in the various guides. We will not be sharpening at this event, just studying the guides… and visiting with fellow woodworkers. And if you only hone freehand, you should come and tell us about your experience.
